So, it's been a while since I've posted anything. After the trip to Arizona to see family, Wendi and I decided to do some work to the house. Most of our spare time has been working on the house or the many trips to Lowe's and Home Depot to get supplies. Anyway, Just thought I share some of the penz that I made a couple of moths ago that I didn't post before.
I was asked to do this one for Adam. Him and his Squad wanted to give something to his LT because he was transferring. This is a new style "Salute the Troops" Bolt Action Ballpoint Pen. I used an inlaid Air Force Logo blank and then customized it with a saying on the opposite side. It came out pretty nice, and Adam's LT really liked it.
Another special request I had from an old shipmate of mine who has gone on to make Chief. Zach Dunavant, here's the one you were looking for. This is a Salute the Troops Bolt Action pen made with an intricate inlay of the Navy Chief Anchor. The Anchor and USN are made from Holly and the major part of the blank is Maple. I'' be posting again soon some new stuff.
I'll also be setting up at the Crafter's Network Craft Show in Mount Pleasant on the 17th, which is next week. It will be at the Bi-Lo Pavillion in Mt Pleasant from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM. So anyone in the area, please come out and support us!
I love to work with my hands and take pride my attention to detail and finishes. I believe you're never too old to learn new skills and continue to learn and grow in my craft. I love to try new ideas to see if they will work and learn from each one that I do. You can never know everything about anyone thing. There's always something to learn.
